Welcome to the website of Linda Kearns. This site is a work in progress and is here to show the artwork of Linda and to detail a little about her and her work.

Linda was born in England being a second generation Irish woman of an immigrant worker from Roscommon.

On her frequent visits to Ireland she saw a lot of old cottages abandoned due to people leaving to find work in England, never to return.

The countryside and history of Ireland have been her inspiration and she decided to put down on paper an ever decreasing way of life.

All her work is done with ink, nibs and quill, which is a slow process, as done by the monks of years ago.

Linda has exhibited in London, Manchester and Brighton and produces her own cards from her original works which she sells in Knightsbridge, Covent Garden, Willesden, Kilburn and Brighton.

She has various commissions including Synge Cottage on Inishmaan, which was presented to the Irish Ambassador's wife in London.

Now living in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, Ireland she continues to capture the Old Ireland.

She dedicates her exhibitions to all the emigrants who left Ireland never to return.
